Costa de Almeria – The Real Spain

Nestled between the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol lie the unspoilt regions of the Costa Calida and Costa de Almeria. The regions boast more than 200 km of coastline with amazing views, pine forests and the Mar Menor lagoon.
The last Moorish stronghold in Spain, the area is brimming with fascinating history and architecture. Travelling around the pretty villages, it is not unusual to have to stop for the local goat herdsman or horse and cart. This is a reminder that you are in the “Real Spain”.
The Costa Almeria has more than 320 days of sunshine, warm summers and very mild winters; this is the last untouched jewel of Spain. If the over-populated areas of the Costa del Sol or Costa Blanca are not for you, then the Real Spain is your place in the sun. Comparing the other areas in density per hectare, here in the Real Spain builders can only build a maximum of 20 houses per hectare, compared to 60 in the others.
The demand for properties in Spain is an important engine in the Spanish economy. On average property prices have increased by 19% on an annual basis, making the Costa Almeria area an ideal choice for investors too.
